In January 2020, KONO entered a contract with StreetPlus, an industry leader in providing cleaning, safety, and hospitality services to business districts across America and they’ve made a huge difference. The KONO Street Ambassadors are out in the district six days a week picking up trash, removing graffiti, engaging with neighborhood stakeholders, and helping solve day-to-day challenges.
Their presence helps create a cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and local businesses alike. Beyond maintenance, the Ambassadors serve as friendly points of contact, offering directions, checking in on community members, and building relationships throughout the corridor. This partnership reflects KONO’s commitment to investing in the district and ensuring Telegraph Avenue remains a vibrant, thriving place for everyone.
